Test Yourself is a platform of Avatize BV (Ommegangstraat 2, 9881 Aalter, Belgium · BE 0799.532.792). Below are the rules for candidates and for employers. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy statement.
For candidates
Always free. Test Yourself never asks candidates for money: not for a test, not for an account, not to apply and not to view or delete your data. If anyone asks you for money on behalf of Test Yourself, report it to info@avatize.be.
Test yourself, fairly. You take a test yourself, without help from others. AI help is not allowed unless a question explicitly asks for it. For some tests we record signals announced beforehand (duration, leaving the window, copying or pasting). They are an indication, not proof.
What the score means. The score shows how many answers are correct, per area. It is indicative: not a diploma, not a certificate and no guarantee of a job. For vacancies, the company chooses a threshold for the label "strong match". The score ranks, it excludes no one: below the threshold you can apply with a motivation. A person at the company decides, never the computer alone. If you think your score is wrong, ask for a review via privacy@avatize.be.
Anonymous applications. The company first sees only your candidate number, score, province and motivation. Your name, e-mail and phone go to the company only if it invites you and you share them. You can always withdraw your application. One application per vacancy.
What you write. Do not include in your motivation and answers any data you do not want to share, or anything insulting or discriminatory. We may remove such texts.
Your account. One account per person, with your own e-mail address. You can always view your data and delete your account yourself via "My data".
For employers
Price. During the pilot, a vacancy with a test and a test by invitation are free. If a price is introduced later, we agree it in writing beforehand; it never applies retroactively. Candidates never pay.
A real vacancy, fully described. You only post vacancies that are genuinely open. Before the test the candidate sees: the job, the tasks, the requirements, the salary range or working conditions, the region, the contract, the next selection steps and the deadline. This information is mandatory and accurate.
A fair test. The questions are about the trade. No questions about age, sex, origin, nationality, disability, beliefs, family situation or other criteria protected by Belgian anti-discrimination law (including the Acts of 10 May 2007 and 30 July 1981). Test Yourself reviews every test before publication.
Review everyone, a person decides. The threshold you choose is a label and an order, not an automatic rejection. You actually review all applications, including those below the threshold with a motivation, and every decision about a candidate is made by a person. You do not try to identify an anonymous candidate before they share their details.
Respond. You respond to every application within 30 days: invite, ask an additional question, or not retained. The candidate then receives a neutral notice.
Personal data. When a candidate shares their details with you, you become the controller of that data (GDPR). You use it only for this selection and do not keep it longer than necessary. For a test by invitation, Avatize processes the results on your behalf; we conclude a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) before the first code.
Misuse. Anyone who does not follow these terms may be excluded from Test Yourself without compensation; we then take the vacancy or codes offline.
