Privacy statement
Last updated on 27 September 2026. Translation of the Dutch version, which prevails in case of discrepancy.
This statement concerns the website testyourself.be (and its versions testjezelf.be and testez-vousvite.be) and the tests you can take there. It explains which data we process, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

Visiting this site
The web server keeps a log (your IP address, the time, which page you requested and whether that succeeded, your browser and system type). Why: to make the site work, investigate failures and prevent abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: fourteen days, then automatically overwritten. We do not track visitors and do not build profiles.
What happens to your answers
During the test your answers are stored locally in your own browser (localStorage), so you lose nothing if you reload the tab. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. When you submit, your result is e-mailed directly to the client (the company that invited you) — nothing is stored anywhere else: we (Testjezelf / Avatize BV) do not keep your answers or result on our servers.
When you submit, we process the data you enter yourself — your first name, the recruitment/temping agency, the location, your answers and the time used. Why: to assess your knowledge and determine what guidance or training you need in the context of (possible) employment. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The submitted result is retained by the client, according to its own retention policy. Do not enter data that is not requested and do not give sensitive or unnecessary personal data in the open answers.
Would you like a copy of your completed version? Tick that option when submitting and enter your e-mail address; that copy is then sent only to you. We use that e-mail address solely to send that one copy and do not store it.
Tests by invitation (access code)
Some tests, such as road inspection according to BRRC MF 89, are only available with a code from your employer or client. When you enter the code, we set one strictly necessary cookie that remembers you have access (12 hours at most). When you submit, your result (name as you enter it, score, time used and missed images) is e-mailed to the employer of that code, and we keep a copy on our server so we can answer questions or disputes. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: twelve months at most.
Request forms (partners and learning licences)
If you fill in the "Become a partner" or "Request a learning licence" form, we e-mail your name, e-mail address and the details you enter to info@avatize.be in order to answer your request. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you tick. The website does not store this data. We only request a licence from a software vendor after your explicit agreement by e-mail. Your answers in the job coach, the career path and any certificate stay in your own browser only.
Cookies, analytics and external services
Apart from tests by invitation, we set no cookies and use no analytics or tracking software. For the layout we load fonts (Bricolage Grotesque and Inter) via Google Fonts; your IP address is technically passed to Google to deliver the font. No other data is shared with third parties.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and to data portability where applicable. Mail privacy@avatize.be for this. If it concerns a test result already submitted, please also contact the client who invited you. You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
